This is an alpha release.  This release is to allow people to try out this CMS and get used to it.  It will also help us by allowing people to test it and give us feedback.

There are some incomplete areas that are still being worked on.  You can see these areas by visiting viewing the tickets.

This is not intended to be used on a production site.

Upgrades will not be provided for alpha releases.  They will be provided for Beta and RC releases.

Currently there is NOT an upgrade from phpBB v3.0.x to phpBB-Evolution.  There will be one in a future release.

If you have any questions, problems, or suggestions please feel free to post them on the forums.

Site Update Jan 26th 2008 http://www.phpbb-evolution.com/index.php?modules=News&op=view&id=13 Today I update the site to a new version of the SVN.

Some of the updates are pretty noticable.  Like the number of new blocks you should see all around.

We have also corrected a number of bugs, increased speed and caching, as well as updated and added a number of new mods.

Updated April 30th 2008 http://www.phpbb-evolution.com/index.php?modules=News&op=view&id=3 I have update the site to a newer version. This release now includes the ability to add comments to the news, site maps, a couple new forum mods, and a number of bug fixes.

I need to make it clear that this project is still VERY EARLY in development and we are working hard to keep it going. That may mean that there will be times that development has "stalled" for a period of time. This is not something to worry about. It happens!! This project will continue.

We are still looking for people to help us develop this project.  If you think you can help please read this post.

One more thing I want to clear up this project is NOT making a phpbb3 portal as defined by most people. We are building a CMS around phpbb3. As such we are leaving the phpbb3 as untouched as possible. The hope is to allow many people to upgrade and change their sites without having to do a lot of modifications like some other out there.

Welcome to phpBB-Evolution http://www.phpbb-evolution.com/index.php?modules=News&op=view&id=2 What you are seeing here is a very early stage of the Alpha release. Currently only the News module is active.

I have updated this site to give people an idea on the look and feel of our project and to keep everyone up to date on new features and functionality.

Please check out the forums for more information including how to become a contributer to the project and/or how to view and access the project.
